MANDOX Integrates Chainlink Automation to Help Power EVA NFT Reveals and DevOps

MANDOX is excited to announce that we have integrated Chainlink Automation into the upcoming Ethereum-based EVA NFT collection smart contract, the 5th tribe to be released out of 10 total tribes. By integrating the industry-leading decentralized oracle network, we can transparently automate the NFT collection reveal and DevOps, helping give our supporters strong assurances of a Secure and reliable NFT mint.

NFT Reveals With Chainlink

There are 10 different MANDOX tribes, each with its own unique NFT collection. When releasing the 5th collection, we aimed to create a better NFT drop experience for users supporting the MANDOX mission.

After reviewing various solutions, we selected Chainlink because it’s based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by a time-tested oracle network, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that prove the integrity of each function supplied to smart contracts.

Chainlink Automation integration into the Eva ERC721Psi contract works by combining block data and continual checks during mint with the oracle node and in-contract custom logic to execute as necessary. The MANDOX NFT smart contract will automatically perform maintenance tasks and management functions throughout the mint process when set parameters are reached. This provides our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly on-chain that the NFT reveal and continual management is provably fair and was not tampered with by the oracle, outside entities, or the left exposed to potential vulnerabilities.

Executing the NFT Reveal With Chainlink Automation

Smart contract functions require an external entity to trigger them and NFT reveals are no different. Rather than rely on centralized infrastructure, our goal was to use a high-performance automation service that could execute NFT reveals in a secure, reliable, and decentralized manner.

Chainlink Automation was the perfect solution. The Chainlink Automation Network enables smart contracts to outsource regular maintenance tasks to professional DevOps teams, which serve as trust-minimized, hyper-reliable, economically incentivized, and decentralized automation nodes. It allows users to define Chainlink Automation jobs, which are performed for a fee using a professional network of node operators, which rotate taking on these jobs.

Easy-to-use — Developers are able to schedule time-based automation jobs in seconds using the Chainlink Automation Job Scheduler’s no-code UI.

In the future, MANDOX plans to work on further integrations of Chainlink Automation including Chainlink VRF (RNG random number generator) to maximize our developers’ time spent on operations in order to increase the overall project efficiency bringing security and true verifiable randomness.
